“My civilization is countless years ahead of yours! And what do I care about your silly Earth customs anyway? I’ll do what I want, which includes kissing people even if I plan on destroying them later! AND STOP THROWING THINGS AT ME!” She whipped off her other glove and started hitting him with it, intent on finding a way to knock him unconscious with the little piece of fabric. Stupid humans. Stupid DIB. Stupid kissing.

Dib waved his hands at the glove, trying to grab it and wrench it from Tak’s hand. “You started it! And if you’re so damn advanced, why did you need me to help you find your ship? And why are you trying to assault me with a glove when you have all those weapons in your PAK? Huh? Wait…” Alas, Dib realized a moment too late that he had shot himself in the foot on that one.

He did have a point. She could have easily taken him down… so why hadn’t she? Because she didn’t really want to. But it was easier to keep being outraged than to admit that. “I don’t have to stand for this! I’m leaving!” Tak shoved her hand back in her glove and began to search for the other one, making sure to stomp on his tie a few times as she looked for it. “And don’t worry, you won’t be seeing my horrible reptilian self anymore! Not until the day you see the Armada landing on your doorstep, that is! Then you’ll be sorry!”

Dib groaned as Tak began retrieving her effects and stomping on his. “You know, for an advanced alien race, Irkens sure are temperamental,” he grumbled, picking up his tie and hat and moving towards the door. “I’d offer to show you out, but clearly you already know your way around my home AND MY BEDROOM.”

For a moment Dib was about to come out and say it. For one moment, he was willing to let go of his pride. But years of being an outcast had taught Dib that pride was really the only thing he had, so at the last moment he changed tactics. “Well you can take your scientific purposes and shove them wherever your species traditionally shoves things!”

“Why do you have to be so difficult!? I was just curious!” Tak huffed and rubbed her temples. Why did he always have to argue with her? Couldn’t he just, oh… bow down to her superiority and consent to being her human slave? Or something like that. She sighed internally, knowing that she didn’t actually want that. If he didn’t fight then he wouldn’t be Dib and if he wasn’t himself he’d be horrid and stupid, just like the rest of his kind. But he was still irritating and big-headed! “I really don’t feel like getting into another shouting match right now.”

Dib groaned. “Why couldn’t you just experiment with drugs and alcohol like normal people?” He scoffed after realizing what he’d said, and decided to play it off as intentional. “Oh, that’s right, because you’re a HORRIBLE ALIEN MONSTER BENT ON DESTROYING MY HOME!” He huffed and tried to calm down. Tak was right, shouting would do nothing to resolve the sexual tens- the… the issue. Debate. Yeah. Shouting wouldn’t solve the debate.

“I said I didn’t feel like shouting anymore!” Tak snapped and ripped off one of her gloves to throw at him, for lack of other, more deadly, things to throw. “AND WHO ARE YOU CALLING A MONSTER!? If anyone’s more like a monster here it’s you! All big and stupid and HAIRY!”

“HAIR IS WHAT SEPARATES US MAMMALS FROM THE REST OF YOU FILTHY REPTILIAN BEASTS!” Dib retaliated by taking off his hat and throwing it at Tak full force. “And if I’m so damn stupid, then why d-… how come- SHUT UP!”

She caught his hat as it hit her chest and tossed it onto the floor, and then kicked it for good measure. “REPTILIAN!? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE SCALES TO YOU!?” Tak shoved her now un-gloved hand in front of Dib’s face and wiggled her fingers. “First you compare me to a bug, then to a lizard! I don’t have an exoskeleton OR scales! I JUST HAVE SKIN!”
